A Marine surveyor is a person who conducts inspections, surveys or examinations of marine vessels to asses, monitor and report on their condition and the products on them, as well as inspects damage caused to both vessel and cargo.
Before purchasing
Before purchasing a boat, a Marine surveyor can conduct a detailed examination, both on land and at sea. To do so, the Marine surveyor uses advanced technologies such as thermography and ultrasound.
Insurance
To get an insurance that covers damage or total loss, the insurance company requires a marine survey on the state and condition of the boat.
